Archived from the original on 20 February 2025. [For over a month, soldiers of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade, named after General-Coronet Marko Bezruchko, held the town of Velyka Novosilka in the Volnovakha district of Donetsk region. They fought off massive Russian attacks and spent a month completely surrounded by enemy forces while defending the town. Due to the intense battles, the brigade lost 50 soldiers who were either killed or went missing, while many more Ukrainian defenders were injured. However, instead of recognizing their efforts, the entire leadership of the 110th Brigade was removed from their positions. Now, they're being blamed as the only ones responsible for the loss of Velyka Novosilka. In an interview with journalist Yuriy Butusov on the YouTube channel "Butusov Plus," company commander of the 110th Brigade and Hero of Ukraine, Ihor Tymoshchuk, shared details about their withdrawal and the situation surrounding the brigade’s leadership.]
