Paetongtarn Shinawatra RThBh (Thai: แพทองธาร ชินวัตร, RTGSPhaethongthan Chinnawat, pronounced [pʰɛ̄ː.tʰɔ̄ːŋ.tʰāːn tɕʰīn.nā.wát]; born 21 August 1986) is a Thai politician who was appointed leader of the Pheu Thai Party in 2023 and is, since 2024, the 31st prime minister of Thailand. A member of the Shinawatra family, she is the youngest child of the 23rd prime minister, Thaksin Shinawatra, and a niece of the 28th prime minister, Yingluck Shinawatra. Paetongtarn, nicknamed Ung Ing, became the youngest prime minister of Thailand and is the second woman to hold the position, following her aunt.
