The Mopria Alliance is an association of printer and scanner manufacturers and producers of related software, that develops "universal standards and solutions[buzzword] for scan and print".[1] The alliance was formed in September 2013 by Canon, Hewlett-Packard (now HP Inc.), Samsung, and Xerox.
Member companies have published certifications for mobile devices, mobile print accessories, and 8,500+ printer models from 24 brands, representing more than 120 million print devices in use today.[1] There are more than 5 billion Android devices with Mopria print technology including the Android Default Print Service.[2]
